Custom Pergola, Trellis and Deck Sun
Shade Solar Screen Covers lower temperatures as much as 30
degrees. The advanced solar radiation filtering with
high air flow creates a natural cooling effect that
gives "living in the shade" a whole new
meaning!
|
|
These
temperature
dropping screen mesh covers are designed to fit
perfectly to the overhead area of your pergola,
trellis or deck structure. Shade covers are sized to exact
specifications with grommets positioned to fit
structure.

Covers are generally attached on top of the structure
and held securely in place by means of the grommets on
the edges. Grommets are positioned to match your
structure, The use of
common fender washers and wood screws (or metal screws
for aluminum frames) makes attachment a quick and simple
process.

An attractive alternate method of mounting is hooks placed
into the framework and then lacing rope through the
grommets.
|
|
For
underside mounting or for easy removal and reattachment,
the
use of the marine style twist lock grommets is
often desired

When mounting underside, additional twist lock grommet rims are inserted in center
portions of the
screen tarp and aligned with the rafters. This keeps the
screen
from "drooping" in the center.

ProTect Overhead
Sun Shade Solar Screens combine high air
flow with advanced technology UV inhibitors that neutralize
high frequency solar energy. This creates less solar
heat and a faster escape route for hot air to flow up
and out. As hot air escapes, the cooler ground level air
rises and creates a natural air conditioning effect.
|
|
Upward airflow is
essential with overhead solar shade screen. Without it
you create a condition similar to standing under a canvas
tent. We suggest
two weave densities and percentages of UV protection: 60% and 80%. The 60% is available in
black or white. The 80% is available in a variety of colors.(90% and above should never be
used on a flat overhead structure due to density.)
|
|
All ProTect Screen Mesh Tarps: |
 |
Retain flexibility and shape year after year. UV
protected for long life and fade prevention. |
 |
Will not mold or mildew. Will not become brittle with age and tear or puncture. |
 |
Virtually indestructible.
Impervious to hail stones, golf balls, wind
blown debris. Up to 200 lb ball burst strength. |
|
|
PolyCB2 Screen Mesh Tarps by ProTect have made inroads everywhere. They have been used
in "limited area" golf driving ranges where the tarp
absorbs the shock and safely drops the ball.

In Little League ballparks, tarps made with the 60%
solar weave keep players in the dugout cool with a
perfect combination of shade and high airflow. There is
no limit to the versatility of these tarps. |
